Extracurricular and Sports Overview

    Trottier Middle School offers a vibrant selection of music programs designed to enrich students' musical talents:

    • Concert Band: A foundational ensemble meeting during the school day, serving as a prerequisite for other band programs.
       
    • Big Band: An audition-based after-school jazz ensemble open to all grades, known for its dynamic performances.
       
    • Stage Band: An inclusive group for concert band members, focusing on various musical styles.
       
    • Choral Groups:
       
      • Chorus: Open to all grade levels, providing students with vocal training and performance opportunities.
         
      • G-Sharps: An all-boys chorus promoting male vocal performance.
         
      • Select Chorus: An audition-based ensemble for students across all grades, focusing on advanced choral pieces.

    Note: Choral programs may require before-school commitments for rehearsals.

    Interscholastic Sports

    Competitive teams that represent Trottier in matches against other schools:

    • Field Hockey: Available in the fall.
    • Soccer: Available in the fall.
    • Basketball: For 7th and 8th graders, starting in November.
    • Baseball and Softball: Spring sports beginning in April.

    Note: Due to limited spots, tryouts may be necessary. A current physical examination is required for participation.

    Intramural Sports

    Non-competitive, inclusive activities focusing on participation and enjoyment:

    • Offerings have included pick-up basketball, gym games, strength and conditioning, soccer, tennis, and volleyball clubs.

    Note: Programs are seasonal and may vary based on student interest.

    Southborough Recreation Programs

    In collaboration with the Southborough Recreation Department, students can engage in various after-school activities:

    • Options have included fishing, archery, tennis, track, cross-country, flag football, and fitness programs.
