Principals Update

Good Evening,

We have a different looking week ahead: a full day Monday, no school Tuesday, a full day Wednesday and two half days to end the week. I hope parent/teacher conferences provide further insight to your child's current academic and social emotional time at Trottier this year thus far.

A big 'thank you' to the 8th grade team that stayed back from DC and made the Concord trip/ Day of Service memorable. The Day of Service was a huge success. Students and staff alike were able to connect and support each other while making a positive difference in and around campus. Students took a walk outside and made sure the grounds were in good shape, made a hearty batch of chili for the Southborough Police Department and then made apple crisp for themselves! Our SRO, Officer Collins, left happy with ample chili for the police staff.

Project Unify students finalized the placement of the belonging tree. All 432 students received a paper leaf and wrote down one way they felt a sense of belonging here in Trottier; I’m certainly aware of all the good things happening on a daily basis here, but it’s nice to walk by this display daily and get that reminder.

Conferences:

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on two days this year,

Thursday, November 13th, from 12:30- 2:30 and 5:30-7:30 &
Friday, November 14. 12:30-2:30

Conferences will take place in person this year. Conference sign-ups will be managed through
ParentSquare. Detailed instructions were sent out last week. Please check for the link if you still have not signed up, and want to.

As in past years, please keep in mind that we have a supply and demand challenge—there are typically more families requesting conferences than available time slots. If your child is in sound academic standing, we encourage you to consider signing up for just one or two conferences, or reaching out to individual teachers by email if you’d like a brief check-in.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure that all families who need a conference have the opportunity to meet with teachers.

Metrowest Health Survey:

Our students will be taking the Metrowest Health Survey this November. All the details about the survey can be found here: Metrowest Health Survey Letter
