Principal's Update

Dear Trottier:

As we head into the holiday season, I would like to take a moment to recognize Mr. Clark and all our music ensembles for the wonderful concert they performed on Thursday night. Their preparation, hard work, and dedication truly shone through. I am grateful for their efforts and for the strong community support that helps make our music program so special.

Looking ahead, we do have a full week of school coming up. We understand that some families may begin their vacation early. If that is the case, please ensure you reach out to your child’s teachers in advance, keep your child up to date on Canvas, and plan for any makeup work prior to their return.

Let's make it a great one!

We are excited to showcase her design for this year’s t-shirt. As in years past, t-shirts can be ordered through Custom Ink. To streamline the process and keep the price low, we will have the shirts delivered in bulk and sent home with your child. Please consider putting your child’s name in the Supporter Information section and select “Make my name anonymous”, as this will help us sort the shirts. Shirts can be purchased until January 5, 2026.

Please mark your calendars! NSBoro Reads is scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2026. The District librarians are working on some exciting activities for the event, and we hope you will plan to join us for a fun night of reading-related activities.

Algonquin Information Session and Tour- Permission Slip Required

Dear Parents/Guardians of 8th Graders,

On December 22nd, our 8th grade students are invited to attend an Information Session and Tour at Algonquin Regional High School. Students will travel by bus, departing Trottier at 8:15 a.m. and returning by 11:00 a.m., in time for lunch. There is no cost for this trip.

Please take a moment to complete the permission slip by 12/16.

A Message from the Health Office

We have seen an uptick recently in energy drink consumption during school hours at Trottier. There is considerable data to support the notion that these types of beverages are detrimental to the health of developing youth and should be avoided. Not only do they interfere with learning (as they cause irritability, difficulty focusing, can cause/exacerbate anxiety, etc), but they can also impact physical health (cardiac arrhythmias, sleep disruption, chemical dependency, etc).

Please refrain from sending energy drinks to school and encourage your child to opt for healthier alternatives. There have been issues of students sharing these drinks with other students at school, which cannot be tolerated. Please see the links below for further information on this topic:
