Trottier Crepe Day

Principal's Update

Dear Trottier Community,

I want to take a moment to acknowledge what a great first week back it has been. The warmer weather certainly brought a renewed sense of energy throughout the building, and it was wonderful to see students and staff so engaged.

A special thank you to Mrs. Okacjha and Mr. Drake for organizing this year’s Crêpe Day. Once again, this event was a tremendous success, with over 100 students staying after school to enjoy crêpes, participate in trivia, and engage in fun, hands-on activities that celebrate world languages and cultural awareness. This annual tradition is truly something we all look forward to each spring.

I would also like to thank everyone who attended the district’s Cultural Fest on Friday evening at the high school. It was a wonderful event, and we are fortunate to have opportunities like this that bring our community together in such meaningful and celebratory ways.

I would also like to share some important news with our community. As we look ahead, we will recognize three valued staff members who will retire at the end of this school year. While they have begun sharing their plans with students, I wanted to ensure our broader community is also informed.

  • Mrs. Palmer, Focus Study Tutor
  • Lori Donfrancesco, Health Teacher
  • Mrs. Burdsall, Math Teacher

If you have the opportunity, I encourage you to reach out and share your appreciation. Each of these educators has demonstrated tremendous dedication, professionalism, and care for our students over many years. Their contributions to our school culture and community have been significant, and they will certainly be missed.

We will continue to share updates and celebrate their careers as we approach the end of the school year, but I wanted to take this opportunity to inform families at this time.

Let's make it a great one!

Go The Distance Awards

Northborough/Southborough Special Education Parents Advisory Council (NSPAC) hosts the Go the Distance Awards annually to recognize individuals who have made a positive impact on students on an IEP or 504 plan throughout the current academic year. This person can be a bus driver, teacher, cafeteria worker, paraprofessional, support staff member, another student, or community employee (such as a coach, dance teacher, or librarian). Receiving an award is a meaningful experience for nominees.

Please consider nominating a special person in your student’s life!
