Principal's Update

Dear Trottier Community,
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on several meaningful events from this past week and share a look ahead at some important upcoming opportunities for our students and community.

First, I would like to acknowledge several Trottier staff members who were recognized by families and community members at Thursday evening’s Go the Distance Awards for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to students. Congratulations to Mrs. Manning, Mrs. Day, Mrs. Palmer, Mr. Kramer, Mrs. McKinnon, Mrs. Morris, and Mrs. Mahanna on this well-deserved recognition. We are fortunate to have educators and staff who continually go above and beyond in support of our students and school community.

I would also like to thank Mr. Clark and all of the staff members who chaperoned the band trip to Worcester this week. Our Trottier band students had the incredible opportunity to perform the national anthem before the Woo Sox game and enjoy a wonderful evening cheering on the hometown team. It was a memorable experience for our students and a proud moment

I also want to recognize sixth grader Story Holtshlag, who represented Trottier during the Memorial Day events this past weekend. Story was given the honor of reading the Gettysburg Address at the conclusion of the parade. She took on this responsibility with a great deal of pride, attention to detail, and enthusiasm. This has been a wonderful tradition in our community for many years, and Story certainly represented Trottier in a meaningful and memorable way.

Art Show Trottier Lobby

Dear Trottier families:

I also encourage families to stop by the main lobby to view the Art Studio student showcase currently on display. The exhibit highlights the creativity, talent, and hard work of our students. We are proud of the work our students have created this year and appreciate the efforts of our art teachers in helping students express themselves creatively. If you are visiting the building over the next few weeks, please take a moment to enjoy the display. Thank you, Mrs. Bachman, for this wonderful display.

International Flag Display and Community Conversation

Looking ahead, our students will participate in a Community Conversation on Tuesday morning focused on cultural diversity and its importance within our school community. In connection with this work, you may notice a new addition to our cafeteria space over the next week: a display of international flags mounted throughout the cafeteria. These flags represent cultures and languages connected to students and families who have been part of our English Language Development program over the years. While this display does not capture every culture represented within our community, we believe it is an important starting point in acknowledging and celebrating the diversity that strengthens Trottier.

In addition to the flags, a world map has been mounted in the cafeteria to further reflect the global diversity represented within our school community. I would like to thank SOS for their financial assistance in purchasing both the flags and the map. This work serves as a launching point for future opportunities to continue building representation and belonging within our school. Students will soon have the opportunity to request additional flags for the display, and we will share more information about that process in the coming weeks. We believe this representation is an important way to recognize the richness of our community and continue fostering

Intention to Withdraw 26-27

Dear  Trottier Families,

This is an exciting time of year, with Trottier filled with activity and much to celebrate. It is also a time when we begin planning for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year.

The purpose of this communication is to ask for your support with that planning. If you intend to withdraw your student from Trottier Middle School or if your family is moving to another residence within the District, please notify the school office. We are here to help guide you through the process of transferring schools or reestablishing residency, as needed.

Your timely communication is important to our planning efforts and helps us best support students during times of transition. If you have questions regarding residency, please feel free to contact our Transportation and Registration Specialist, Sheila Hana shana@nsboro.k12.ma.us , or reach out to the school office directly.
Enjoy these final weeks of the school year—it's a wonderful time to reflect and celebrate.

Best regards,
